Music Major Misjustice
I hate how the Music Department treats holidays as days for more rehearsals. Instead of a day off, I have five rehearsals for five different ensembles. That’s more rehearsals than on a regular school day! What is wrong with you people?!

Where seldom is heard a discouraging word...
I had a terrible performance tonight, and the worst part is that I have to live with it (forever, since it’s been immortalized on television). The next worst part is that I didn’t just let myself down, I let the whole orchestra down. I know everyone makes mistakes, but no one likes when you make them.
It’s just like A says, “I wish this department was more supportive. For...
You are the torch and it all makes sense. I’ve waited here for you forever.

PAUL VARJAK: You know what's wrong with you, Miss Whoever-you-are? You're chicken, you've got no guts. You're afraid to stick out your chin and say, "Okay, life's a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that's the only chance anybody's got for real happiness." You call yourself a free spirit, a "wild thing," and you're terrified somebody's gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you're already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it's not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somali-land. It's wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself.

Thank You
There are two Thank You’s in my life that I will never forget. One was when my band director’s wife said thank you to me for helping clean up after our band tournament had ended. The second was today when my orchestra director said thank you for all the work I’ve been doing.
I think the worst part about being a musician is that doing your best is never enough. It’s been...

Cruel & Unusual Punishment
I wrote a letter on his back explaining why I want to die.

Skeleton bones stand at the sound of eternity on the lips of the found and gravestones roll to the rhythm of the sound of you.

Keep your secrets. Keep your silence. It is a better gift than truth.
Lastly,
I would like to thank my parents for all their love and support and the depression and anxiety disorder I was diagnosed with today. I really couldn’t have done it without you. You have been with me every step of the way, and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for you.
Thank you.

Q: What are you afraid of?
A: That this is it.
Three Weeks Ago
There are many reasons I hate going home, among which are a crazy stalker ex-boyfriend and a psycho alcoholic father.
But of all these, what I hate most about going home is having to say goodbye to my sister.

Sometimes I feel like I’m meant for suicide.
TIME WON'T HEAL THIS DAMAGE ANYMORE
I am what you never want to say, but I’ve never had a doubt. So I let go watching you turn your back like you always do.
You face away and pretend that I’m not, but I’ll be here because you’re all that I’ve got.

Body Mind Soul
I am currently under construction.
I will be back when I see fit to live.
Remember when we were content to be unambitious?
Who do you need?
Who do you love when you come undone?

What I am to you is not real. What I am to you you do not need. What I am to you is not what you mean to me.
You give me miles and miles of mountains, and I’ll ask for the sea.
